        Illegal Dumpsite Surveys

        In June of 2009, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful released reports for the City of Pittsburgh from their Illegal Dumpsite Survey Program. The report listed 279 dumpsites with a total estimated tonnage of 676 tons within the city. A map indicating the locations of those 279 dump sites and the progress in eliminating them is shown below.           State of the City Report 2011

          This report contains an overview of waste management, blight and property issues, including litter, illegal dumping, vacant lots and buildings, abandoned cars, graffiti, and recycling in the City of Pittsburgh.
