Ben brings over 15 years of Environmental Education experience on mountains, in forests, and in maker spaces. Originally from Northern Appalachia, he received his M. Ed. in Environmental Education from Western Washington University. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators & Calliope. Ben joined Allegheny CleanWays in 2025 where he is thrilled to teach learners of all ages how to make our home a cleaner place for all.

When not in the classroom, you can find Ben in a few places: on the trail under the shade of trees, in his kitchen making bread, or on his porch playing a Mountain Dulcimer.
