Tireless Project Boat Captain
Evan Clark is currently the lead boat captain for the Tireless project. Evan holds a 100-ton Inland Waterways license and serves as guide on the cleanup events that take place along the rivers and creeks of Allegheny County. He set up and maintains our workboat, Rachel Carson, and Plastic Magnet 1, our garbage barge. Evan started working with the Tireless project in 2007. He is also one of the captains on Rivers of Steel's educational boat, Explorer.
Evan has taken homemade boats down the Mississippi, Tennessee, Tombigbee, Missouri, Atchafalya, Cumberland, Intercoastal Waterways, Ohio, Monongahela and Allegheny rivers. When he's not at work he builds boats, travels on boats, and tinkers on his floating homestead.
