At the end of the season, winning teams are awarded in each of four categories: THE HELPERS Support and inspire the league through generous, enthusiastic sportsmanship and outstanding courtesy THE HEAVY LIFTERS Collect the most overall litter (by weight) THE ARCHIVISTS Demonstrate the most detailed and thorough reporting THE CLEANUP ARTISTS Exhibit the most creative reuse of litter Follow the link above for more information Good Hunting players and may the best teams win!! Litter WalksThroughout the year, we work with community partners to organize Neighborhood Litter Walks. These are low-intensity events, excellent for casual adventures with families. At each walk, volunteers follow a local guide for roughly 90 minutes, collecting lightweight litter in public streets and pathways, followed by a social hour at a nearby restaurant or public gathering place. We'll provide all the equipment, you provide the helping hands! Register for an upcoming event or write lyssa@alleghenycleanways.org to schedule a Litter-Walk in your Neighborhood.
Share your litter cleanup photos with us by contacting lyssa@alleghenycleanways.org or by tagging @AlleghenyCW and @FriendsOftheRiverfront on Instagram!
