Ben's love of the water and boating began with his upbringing in the Pacific Northwest, playing on beaches and later living on a Reinnel cabin cruiser.
Ben moved to Pittsburgh with his wife and son in 2010, and currently has a 28ft sailboat he enjoys taking out on the three rivers. He has previously worked in construction and is a talented musician, playing the piano, drums, and guitar. Ben has even toured around the world in different bands, like places in Mexico, Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia. He loves to travel to meet new people and experience different cultures.
Ben is excited to join the Allegheny CleanWays team to work on cleaning up the areas that he feels are so important to the Pittsburgh identity - its rivers!
