An evening riverfront cleanup took place at the mouth of Sandy Creek in Verona with our partner Three Rivers Waterkeeper. The cleanup was sponsored by Trout Unlimited. Thanks to Steel City Rowing, Cinderlands Beer Co., and 10.7 Marina for additional support. |

ONGOING - THREE RIVERS CONSERVATION CREW EVENTS
April 9 - April Singer Songwriter Showcase Join 3 Rivers Outdoor Co for an evening of music in the Square! The first monthly singer songwriter showcase of 2022 here at the shop will feature performances by Outside Eliza, Mountains Meet the Moon Band, and Evan Lybrand. Beer from our brewery partner, Cinderlands Beer Co. will be available for donation benefiting us (Allegheny CleanWays), along with kegged cocktails from our friends at Goodlander Cocktail Brewery.

April 9, 16, 23 - Saturday Morning Yoga @ Cinderlands The spring series of Saturday morning yoga is taking a field trip…to Cinderlands Warehouse in the Strip District! For 3 weeks, we’ll be exploring different styles of flow…for a great cause. Each $10 ticket will fully benefit our cleanup efforts & includes an 8oz pour of Cinderlands Beer Co. beer, to be enjoyed after class. Stay after class to enjoy delicious brunch at Cinderlands, beginning at 11:30am. Practice will start at 9:30am SHARP!

APRIL 2 - BROOKLINE LITTER WALK
Join us in Brookline! We are walking and cleaning litter along a pesky bit of Pioneer Avenue near the Liberty Tunnel.
This is somewhat treacherous terrain, so volunteers for this event should be 14 years of age or older. We will provide complimentary gloves, grabbers, sanitizer, buckets & bags, but all participants are encouraged to bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if available. After the walk, join us at Red's Good News (542 Brookline Blvd) from 2 - 3pm for drinks + snacks. |
APRIL 16 - TIRELESS SEASON BEGINS: DUCK HOLLOW RIVERFRONT CLEANUP
Join us for a riverfront cleanup on the Monongahela River! We will be partnering with Friends of the Riverfront and Upstream Pittsburgh.
What will we be doing? Volunteers will meet at the Duck Hollow Trail Parking Lot where we will go over safety, our work plan for the day, and then we will be off to work on land and water! We will use our pontoon boat, Rachel Carson, to shuttle volunteers up and down the banks. Volunteers will also be working along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and surrounding area with our partners to remove trash and invasive plants. What are we doing? Celebrate Lincoln-Lemington with a walk along Lincoln Avenue to pick up litter for Earth Day! Meet at the corner of Lincoln avenue and Apple street, the former location of Sweet Tooth ice cream, to get your litter picking supplies. Rain or shine!

Join us for a riverfront cleanup on the Allegheny River to celebrate Earth Day! We will be cleaning up around the mouth of Sandy Creek and surrounding riverbanks.

APRIL 22 - EARTH DAY: LITTER LEAGUE KICKOFF
2022 Season Opener! Join us on Earth Day at the Cinderlands Warehouse in Pittsburgh's Strip District for the "Pickoff" of the second official Litter League.
All players, friends, and fans are welcome to participate and root for the home team. Even if you're not able to play, simply prove to the bartenders that you've collected litter recently and enjoy drink specials throughout the afternoon and evening!

APRIL 24 - SELDOM SEEN GREENWAY DUMPBUSTERS CLEANUP
What will we be doing? These cleanups will focus on hiking the woods and creating staged piles of trash and tires.
Each cleanup is three hours. Volunteers should be comfortable walking on hilly, uneven terrain and carrying at least 50 lbs repeatedly. |
APRIL 30 - TRI-TRASH-LON
Tri-Trash-Lon is back and better than ever!
A weekend of biking, dumpbusting, camping, and riverfront cleanup with the Tireless Project in the Mon Valley. Day 1- Event begins in McKeesport with a DumpBusters cleanup, followed by a group ride to the Clairton trailhead of the Montour Trail for lunch. Then we'll boogie on down the trail to the campsite for a night of food, fun, and fire. Day 2- Following camp breakfast, we'll ride back to McKeesport to meet up with the Tireless Project for a riverfront cleanup! Unfortunately, registration space is full. Please consider supporting Tri-Trsh-Lon with a direct donation so we can keep it going for next year! |
