GRATEKEEPERS

the adopt-a-grate program
Help keep your neighborhood's stormwater grates clean!
GrateKeepers is a stewardship program that allows residents to adopt and regularly maintain a nearby grate.
The removal of litter and debris reduces flooding and makes are rivers cleaner.

How to Become a GrateKeeper
Step 1: Go to the dumpsite reporting map.

Step 2: Click yellow Storm Drains tap at top of page and use map to locate your storm drain. Finding the location must be done manually, you will not be able to search an address.

Step 3: Click on the pencil icon at the bottom right hand of page then click on the location of your drain.

Step 4: On the pop-up window click the blue A Storm Drain I Would Like To Adopt button and fill out the information. Be sure to include your email!

Step 5: Check your inbox for an email confirmation with how to pick up your GrateKeepers Kit (contains safety vest, litter grabber, scale)

Step 6: Now you're a GrateKeeper! Each time you clean your grate, email [email protected] with the weight amount you've removed with the scale provided in your kit.
