GrateKeeper volunteers help prevent flooding on land, algae blooms in rivers, and trash entering the waterways, by keeping their adopted storm drain(s) free of trash and debris.
Want to be a GrateKeeper?
Step 1: Choose a drain or two (or ten) in your neighborhood.
Explore our
dumpsite map to see where GrateKeepers are currently tending to storm drains.

Step 2: Keep your adopted drain(s) free of trash and debris.
This is particularly important before an expected storm!

Step 3: Stay Safe!
Safety is key to great
Gratekeeping. Learn more about how to be a safe and successful Gratekeeper by reviewing our Gratekeepers Volunteer Instructions
