Lyssa came to Pittsburgh in 2021 to escape the Minnesota winters. With a background in public health and an MPH she spent a handful of years working in community programing and emergency response.
After moving to Pittsburgh, she began to pursue her passion for environmental justice by volunteering with the Tireless and DumpBuster programs before joining the team. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking and car camping. Her favorite kind of trash is broken pottery.
